9:09p Well, I've learned that the best thing for me to do at school functions is to hang out with the Japanese students. They can't speak English, and can speak better French than me. Therefore, we both make efforts to communicate without slipping...

This morning, I woke up for a tour of Villefrance. I picked up some pants, and saw a ton of ants starting to scurry away from a vaguely pants-shaped mass. I realized that there were ants under every single thing that I had on the floor. I then...

10:49p I just got back from a trip to a lot of other French cities, which was kind of fun. I don't remember any of the names of the cities, of course, but I have lots of pictures! This weekend, I had nights of exponential comfort. First I slept on the...

7:19p I just sold my belt to a man for 60 Euros. I bought a new belt for 30 Euros! I now understand business.

8:24p When I arrived at my apartment today, the gate was wide open. I had remembered shutting it earlier, so I was nervous. There are several warnings posted around the apartment about break-ins and the like. I entered in Miami Vice, fashion, a slow...

10:35p - What I have learned in one week. The only thing that sucks about going to a total emersion French school is that I rely heavily on my sense of humor for communication with my fellow human beings. Because of the tricky way my brain works, I'm...

I've always wondered, does it hurt when you get yanked by the bungee cord? whiplash?  Is it one of those thigs that the more you relax the less you hurt? or did you get an unwanted chiropractic adjustment?

Maybe the chiropractic adjustment was helpful.  "I have a crick in my neck.  I think I'll go bungee-jump." I have a lot of respect for you, having the courage to do this, Paul.  (Although.....part of me--the really sane, conservative,...

Cool.  Where is this gorge?  (edit: Oh duh, france.  nevermind) I've always wanted to bungee jump.  The thing that would bother me most would be the silent weightless feeling.  During parachute school we did practice airplane...

Rengal:  It did kind of hurt, but I totally jumped wrong.  You're supposed to spring straight out, and I sort of just stepped off the ledge.  So, it's kind of like being the end of a cracked whip.  I just kept spinning and spinning...

Some of you might remember me talking about doing this.  I hadn't planned it, but when I said I was willing to try, the other members of my group paid for me to do it. The Gorge is so big!  You can hardly see me.

11:16a So, I'm in Amsterdam's Schipol Airport right now, waiting for my flight to Nice. It's 11:15 am Sunday morning for my eyes, while my body still thinks it's 2:15 am Saturday Night. I met a rather cool guy from Barcelona on the flight to...

Hi, I'm Tippy, Brian Lenz's aunt.  I'd love to find a venue for live Country music and atmosphere here in the south of France.  I have some friends in a Country band, they’re French, but sing American Country, and we sing together...

Hi, Tippy! Sorry for the late reply!  I was on vacation. Rick would be a great resource for that stuff, but he and I never really kept in touch.  I've got a contact down there that was the owner of Chez Net when I was taking classes. ...

Rick Brejeon has a good reason do decorate L'Escale with cowboy memorabelia. He won a French Rodeo Championship in 1995.  He told me they're not sure what to make of bull riders in France.  "If we get hurt and go to the hospital, the doctors...
